Aside from the completely obvious reasons why the How I Met Your Mother finale was outrageously bad, was anyone else bothered by the fact that the whole story aspect has been in Bob Saget’s voice yet in the end it was Ted’s actual voice? I mean I understand why it had to be Ted talking at the end but for God’s sake try to be a little consistent.
"Kids, I’m going to tell you the story of how I met your mother and focus heavily on my relationship with Aunt Robin in the hope that you catch my not-subtle hints and give me your blessing to bone her."
So Ted doesn’t get over Robin, the women who always rejected him in more than 15 years.
But he gets over Tracy, the love of his life and the mother of his childrens in 6 years.
Book Ron was an interesting, attractive and relatable character, and I feel that the movies really unfairly relegated him to the position of comic relief. The dynamics of the trio had to be simplified into hero + heroine + mascot, and that robbed us of a truly fascinating…
